You Need Help

likewise, the Spirit helps our infirmities... Rom 8:26

All of us have weaknesses, vulnerabilities, insecurities, fears; however, the degree and specificity differ from person to person. These expose us to uncertainties and often predispose us to a lifetime of hardship, failure, disappointment, and an uncertain future. There is a negative mechanism that was set in motion after the fall of Adam, it contradicts the life and nature of God, it will battle every godly and good thing and person.

The first man, Adam was so filled with the Spirit; he easily discerned things of the Spirit, He knew the mind of God, as such, it was easy for him to navigate. If you will live successfully, you need God the Holy Spirit. 

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever...Jn 14:16. Notice that Jesus described the Holy Spirit as another comforter, meaning that He (Jesus) was the comforter at the time, same nature and essence as the one to come. Jesus knows that you will need a lot of help if you want to live the life and only the Holy Spirit can help out. You cannot live life without the Spirit's help

I recall an event that happened about twelve years ago while pastoring a youth fellowship, a member informed me that his father had taken ill and was hospitalized but it was quite unusual as he had not been hospitalized in a long while. I invited him to join me in a spiritual exercise, he obliged, after about 40 mins of prayers and declarations, he was set to leave, I told him 'your father will be discharged before Friday, the day was Wednesday. He testified at the next service that the father was discharged on Thursday and was healthy. 

The twist is that if I had reasoned it, I wouldn't have made the declaration of faith, yield to the Holy Spirit and He would help you to do what you need to do when you need to do it.

If you desire to please God, then you need the Holy Spirit's help if you will overcome your fears, vulnerabilities, then you need the Holy Spirit; 

Build your fellowship with the Holy Spirit and ask for Help, He is willing, able and available to help you.
