For it is God who worketh in you, both to will and to do of
His good pleasure Phil 2:13
Every
believer operates from an advantageous position. That is what John refers to as
‘the power to be, called the sons of
God’
this power is the right or privilege of sonship Jn 1:12. While
God works on you and His glory is seen upon you, the best yet is the work that
He is doing in you!
Paul
admonished …according
to the power that works in us Eph 3:20. There
is a power that is at work in the children of God, this power configures
everything to work for the children of God according to His will. God works
from inside to the outside: For it is God who worketh in you, both to will and to
do of His good pleasure.
Every
child of God must be more conscious of the inner workings of the Spirit than of
miracles and other outward realities. Jesus talked about the Holy Spirit
in Jn 14:17 …But ye know Him, for He dwelleth with you, and shall
be in you. In other words, the Holy
Spirit will be in us, working in us; hallelujah.
Peter
counselled, Whose adorning let it not be that
outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on
of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart 1 Pet 3:3-4. Inside
or the inner place (man) is that place that is not seen but is real; it is the
place of consecration, concentration of power, and store house of grace. God’s
work starts here. Every great work starts here. God wants us to pay attention
to the hidden man of the heart.
Note
that God working on you is about you being a product (a noticeable external
reality), but God working in you is about an inner capacity that powers living.
You
are more than you think you are, you have a lot more working in your favour
than you will ever imagine. We are indeed blessed. God wants you to be
conscious of this work: so whether you feel good or bad, God is at work:
deserted, rejected, dejected, lonely, God is at work: rich or poor, God is at
work: bitter or better, God is at work. The reality of the work inner work
dawns on you the more you pay attention to the inner man
God
bless you
