Some
trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord
The psalmist (King David) declared God
is the strength of my heart and portion. He says here that his dependence is on God
and nothing else. In whom do you trust?
What or whom is your fortification? To be fortified is to be protected, to be secured and safe from dangers and perils.
With
increase in technology and artificial intelligence which makes work and daily
life easier in our day, it has become so easy to forget God. There is a growing
confidence in the ability of devices over the divine
The
lead scripture reminds us that we shouldn’t be carried away with our own fortifications
(our set up systems).
Some
trust in Chariots
(the weapons of war): these are things that we either wage war with or defend ourselves
with; what is your defense? What do you wage war with? How reliable is it?
Some
trust in Horses (Represents
both strength and speed): What do your count on for strength and speed, what
aids your swift movement in destiny? Man, machine, or God? It might be fashionable
to trust in advancement and sophisticated weapons and systems, it might even be
the norm to follow trends, but we would not be carried away, we will remember
the name of the Lord.
The
Lord is our eternal security and conveyance for the future and in the future.
The king, Solomon counsels, ‘Trust
in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding’ (do not depend on human
reasoning and human systems). Trust in the Lord, only He is reliable. Fortify
yourself in the Lord. Build
up yourself on your most holy faith…
Prov 3:5-6, Jude 1:20, Ps 20:7, Ps 73:26
My trust is in the Almighty God

DeleteGod bless you sir. For me, I believe God, trust God and rely on God. He has been my cover in the days of trouble. He is always putting things together for my good. He is my healer and my comforter. God is my strength and I can do whatever He says I can do.
ReplyDeleteBlessed be the name of my God Who is greater and mightier than whatever description I can ever imagine.
It is relieving, refreshing and joyful to be His product, yes, I know my maker through His only Son, Jesus Christ.
