Knowledge rules life, some people say that knowledge is light. Pr 4:7, wisdom is the principal thing… wisdom is in itself impotent without the input of knowledge; wisdom is the right application of knowledge. With all thy getting, get understanding; Even understanding is the clarity of knowledge, how to make knowledge work. Knowledge is so precious; it is so good and essential for our living. The basis of life should be knowledge, a life devoid of knowledge will waste away…on some fronts, the difference between successes and failures is the quality of their knowledge or what they know

The four knowledge basis for living are: the Knowledge of God, the Knowledge of His will, the Knowledge of time, the Knowledge of things.

The Knowledge of God

My people perish for lack of knowledge…Hos 4:6 literally ‘my people perish because they do not know me. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Real knowledge only comes when we begin to know the Lord. Do you know the Lord, are you close to him?

Benefits of Knowing God

1. Knowing God makes believing and receiving from Him simple: You are better placed to receive from God when you know Him personally. Matt 7:7, Jn 16:24-26

2. Knowing God causes us to love and end up doing more for Him: When you know him you love Him and desire to serve him and please Him entirely. Love the Lord with all your heart and soul and mind. 1 Sam 12:24, Rom 12:1

3. Knowing God brings strength: They that know their God shall be strong and do exploits Dan 11:32. The more you know Him, the better, stronger, wiser you become.

4. Knowing God Builds up: Build up yourself on your most holy faith Jude vs 20, Acts 20:32. The word of God edifies us, building us every time

5. Deal drastically with sin: King Solomon said, your word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against you. The apostle Paul reiterated this position, 1 Jn 3:9

There are some people that refuse to know the Lord and there can’t be a more foolish decision than that…
