Fathers are a glorious covering for the offspring
that God bless them with, and the glory of children are their fathers Pr 17:6
As a child, I loved my father a lot and had the
most faith and trust in him than anyone else, I had grown so fond of him. One
day, I exclaimed out of curiosity ‘you are growing old and would die someday;
he was astonished at my question.
I listened to my father a lot; I loved to hear
him speak because he seemed to know a bit of everything and had an answer to
every question: to me, he knew everything, every subject, he was my
encyclopedia.
My Father: Mr. Adams |
There was a day that I gathered other children in my neighborhood for normal child plays and boasted about my father. Later that evening, I inspected my father's biceps (a muscle on the front part of the upper arm) and accidentally saw a friend checking out her father's too, at our next meeting, I said, 'your daddy has small power, my daddy will beat your daddy' in front of all the other children: sweet memories but deep thought patterns. My father is waxing yet stronger despite being older and I haven't stopped loving him, God bless him and every other loving father and father figure.
Today, I am a father, blessed with two lovely
boys, and have learned to be intentional about my fatherhood. My father's lead
was a model to follow, however; the best part of his leadership was leading us
to the real father...
God isn’t just our
creator, He is our father: This is an awesome scripture revelation that we
ought not to miss; we were made for him, this people have I made for
myself Is 43:21…
Jesus came to restore
the relationship that was and is and is…When you pray, say our
father, which art in heaven
Mt 6:9
The Holy Spirit adopts
into the family of God which restores our status as children of God which makes
us call God Abba (father) we have received the spirit of adoption
wherewith we say Abba father, Rom 8:15. He testifies with our
spirits that we are the children of God Rom 8:16
Israel was referred to
as God’s son Ex 4:22: Here, God typifies His father relationship with Israel, a foretaste of what we are to become.
Our father (God) is our
glory, our crown, and in Him we should have the utmost confidence, there must be a very deep longing, fondness for and desire to be with our father at all times.
Our father is our defender, our protector, and our provider.
God gives physical (natural) fathers, so we can have a taste of what we have in Him (our real father).
