The Worth in your Work

Work is a divine expectation, God expects you to work 2 Thess 3:10. God showed us His work commitment from the beginning Gen 1:1, In the beginning, God created…, the first thing that is highlighted apart from God, in the beginning, is what he did, Work! (Creation is an act of work). God is a worker and in Him, we see the pattern of works, Jesus said My Father worketh hitherto, and I work, Jn 5:17

Work is the basic form of human manifestation, work is how we manifest or show ourselves. It reveals who we are and what we can do. Many people see work from the scientific definition of the product of force and distance, while this is factual; it reveals only a minute fraction of the broad picture.

Work is in two basic dimensions

1. Work is a manifestation of Creative Ability: 

The visible things that commit yourself to, either a skill acquired through formal training in school or other reputation institutions, skill, acquired through apprenticeship, sports, artistic impressions, or other forms of manifesting creative ability. It is at its peak not when it makes the most money but when it is done to perfection and stands in a class of its own.

2. Work is a manifestation of Character

The things that you do, based on a moral standing of rights, or wrongs as decided by God. They could either be those that align to the standards of God's words, called good works Eph 2:10 or those that are in defiance of it, called the works of the flesh Gal 5:19-21. Watch your character traits, it tells a lot about who you are.

Your deepest values are conveyed in your work, hence, your worth is in your work, it is easy to tell what a man is worth, it is hidden in his work.

Decide today to give all it takes to make your work blameless, be value-conscious, and quality-minded, your true worth is revealed in the manifestation of your creative ability and character.
