Diligence 2: Work Well Done

 

Seest any man, Diligent in his business, he shall stand before Kings; he shall not stand before mean men…

Descriptive synonyms for diligent service are competent service, skillful service, experience (mastery) in work, hard and smart work, artistic display, and quality delivery.

A work well done is one whose competence is of repute, it is a work that has a high skill demonstration, a thorough artistic impression and quality delivery. In other words, it is referred to as perfect work because its value and quality speak for itself

How good are you at what you do, Jesus commanded, let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works… Mt 5:16, meaning that your work should be very done to attract the attention of all and they eventually link it up to God, the scripture screams to competence. Also, do all jobs well Eccl 9:10 whatever you hand finds to, do it with all your strength…

Are you good at what you do? As much as prayers would do a lot of good help to clear the way, it isn’t required to standing before kings; it is a blameless work, a work done to perfection that brings you into the presence of the greats.

If you need additional training or a disciplined regimen, get it. A thoroughly done job, work done so well that it becomes so believable. Every believer is called to do Good works, not just any work, while good works may also refer to Character, it isn’t limited to Character, rather, efficiency at what we do for you are the works of His hands, recreated in Christ Jesus unto good works… Eph 2:10
