The Birth of Jesus Christ brought joy to the world; His coming into lives still brings joy to those that receive Him,
The world today needs Jesus, the world needs joy. There seems to be a negative mechanism at work in the world today, this mechanism brings sorrow to the lives of men by means of sad or sorrowful everyday occurrences. Everything in the world seems to work against everything that is of faith. If it is not of faith, then it is sin and it doesn’t please God.
THE NEWS
The angel told the shepherds, that he had brought ‘Glad tidings...’. Tidings in the original text suggested the word ‘NEWS’ and glad tidings suggested ‘GOOD NEWS’ actually.
The word ‘News’ from its origin means something new or recent, it is recent information, not stale information, not old or former things, it is fresh information.
Please note that only God has the freshest information about everything. The angels came to announce first and then wise men came after some time.
The news wasn’t about the manger nor sheep nor shepherds nor the angels.
It is pertinent that we do not miss or mix-up the message with the circumstances around it.
God knows that the world needs something new,
The News is Jesus and the news brings joy.
Jesus is always new and fresh and never gets old. God introduced Himself as I AM, which means that He is recent, he is the news. The best source of the news every day is God and we can know the news through fellowship with him. God is constantly speaking
You need something new, your family and every situation around your life need something new, you need an air of freshness.
The world today needs a new message, aside from all the hypocrisy, wickedness, selfishness, the world needs Jesus.
