Is Your Spirit Anew?

being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God which liveth and abideth for ever; 1 Pet 1:23

Being born again refers to the new birth, it is receiving God’s eternal life into our spirits, this new birth is the second birth, not natural, but a spiritual birth into the family of God by the Holy Spirit, making us children of God ‘Rom 8:15.

Biologically, like begets like, this experience makes us to become like God, ‘to them He gave the power to become the children of God’Jn 1:12.

All men had death hovering over them till the sacrifice of Christ was accepted for all have sinned and have fall short of the glory of God Rom 3:23. Man had died spiritually, his spiritual sense had been suspended and was not responsive to God, Eph 2:1, this allowed the devil to have access through the body since the spirit had lost its leadership because of its disconnection from God; this is why the new birth starts from the spirit of man and progresses to the soul and then the body, 1 Thess 5:23, Eph 4:11-13, till man is perfected in the fullness of God.

Solomon spoke by revelation that the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, lighting all the inward parts of the belly, Pr 20:27, and Elihu, the wise young man said to Job, ‘But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding’ Job 32:8; you see, the spirit is the spotlight that helps to illuminate the other areas, it is  the point of connection between God’s Spirit and man’s; the prophet Ezekiel had prophesied it a lot earlier in his book, saying ‘A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you, Ez 36:26a’.
