And he said with tears, Lord I believe, help thou my unbelief  Mk 9:24

In the book of Mark 9:17-26 is the story of a man who was deeply distressed because his son was terribly tormented by a demon, worse yet was the fact that the disciples of Jesus couldn’t help the situation, though they tried in their own way (Jesus referred to them as faithless because they hadn't done it in His way). Their prayers seemed weak; the man was discouraged and disheartened.

There are certain situations that we face that tend to demean our faith. You have faith, but you are not sure anymore of yourself, your doubt level is elevated.

This man was overwhelmed by the hopelessness of the situation. Jesus was going to help him, he was ready and willing but he needed the man to request.

Jesus is willing to help you today, are you willing to be helped. Jesus asked, ‘canst thou believe’, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to them that believe.

God needs willing men to activate His purposes on the earth. He needs our willingness to allow Him help us with and in our limitations.

The man responded with tears, I believe, help my unbelief. Jesus’ words brought him solace. He had seen many miracles but the many life circumstances and chaotic charade had blurred him from Gods reality of healing. Jesus had mercy and healed his son from the condition.

Would you today admit your lack of belief? would you let him in on your doubt and weakened truth stance, the Lord will have mercy. Many times, God allows imbalance in the natural so that we can depend on the supernatural

  1. Great sermon sir. According to Heb11:6, firstly you must come to God first if you need help and be willing to let him help you. Secondly, you must believe that he can help you even with your little faith as grain of mustard seed. Thirdly, you must be deligent in seeking him because he is a rewarder of them that deligently seeking him. To be deligent is hard work, you must ready to pray, asking God to help your unbelieve, you must be ready to let your weakness go and ask him for strength, you must ready to sow that is give offering, pay your tithe, give your first fruit, help the poor and you must ready to be addicted soul winner even before you receive help and after you might have received help. Then be rest assure help is on the way. God bless you sir
