There
are many instances in the Holy Scriptures where the helper (God) calls, lending
a hand of support, offering hope and assurance to His loved ones. Let us
examine the following verses to comprehend this:
Jer
33:3 ‘Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty
things, which thou knowest not’ God makes known His concern His people and
tells them of His great intentions for them
Is
1:16 ‘Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins are
as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson,
they shall be as wool’. Here, God makes known his disposition concerning the
sins and weaknesses of His people and offers a provisional plan that would help
resolve the problem of sin.
Many other scriptures as Jn 3:16, Jer 31:3, Mt 1:21, 1 Corr 12:3-12, Gal 5:22 etc point clearly to the commitment of the helper towards his loved ones. The good news, however, is that the helper is still calling today! Rev 3:22 ‘He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches, the word ‘Saith’ and not merely ‘said’ is used. Saith points to continuous action, meaning that God is still saying,
God is still calling; God is still knocking; He is willing to help you out of that situation; He is willing to fix you up; He is willing to help you mend your broken heart even when others have deserted you; He is calling to deliver you from that familiar spirit.
Finally,
your moment has come, lift up your hands, get on your knees, confess your sins,
and confess your ways to Him, confess His Lordship and accept His provisional offer of help. The helper is yet calling!
Thank you sir. I can hear the Saviour calling and it's deep
