Ye search the scriptures because in them you think you have eternal life, they are the things that testify about me
The Bible has 66 books, several authors and many
different characters, ranging from prophets to judges, warriors, kings, scribes
and many more but with a singular message which remains unchanged.
Jesus confronted the religious leaders of His day
about an issue that is at the heart of the faith, Jesus, the Christ. He pointed
to them, the reason for their search of the scriptures, which was primarily
because they sought the life of God. Jesus made it clear that the biggest
revelation of the scripture was not a thing, not miracles, not events, but He,
Jesus. He made it known that the scriptures testify of Him. In other words, the
whole scriptures are Christ’s witness.
The scriptures have a central theme and message. Whatever
you read in the scripture only points in one direction, the person of Jesus, in
fact, Jesus is the revelation of the scriptures. If you come to the simple
understanding of the message of the scriptures, then you would be able to
relate with the scriptures not just as a document but as a relatable entity the words that I speak are spirit
and they are life
Many folks are bored while in and with scripture
because they have not met the person of the word or read into the word. The
scriptures come alive when you get to know what and whom the scripture is
really about.
You can have an experience in the word and it is
simple to get the message of the scriptures every time you read and here’s how
1. Pray before and during and after every word
encounter
2. Develop consistency at study
3. Make up your mind to do whatever the scripture says
4. Meditate on the scriptures: roll it over saying
those words to yourself
5. Tell others about the words
