But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus Phil 4:19

Some years ago, I learned a valuable destiny lesson from a woman I love and respect very much; I regard her as godmother; she was both spiritual mentor and my family because she is my father’s sister. She was in a needs condition, she needed financial aid, and I was visiting her then. I could do little or nothing as I was a student at the time.

She barely had foodstuff at home, everywhere was dry, but she was hopeful and believing in God’s miraculous provision; her words were ‘I trust the Lord, He will provide for my needs.

That the same day, the Lord provided, someone visited her and didn’t come empty-handed, she brought some foodstuff and some amount of money. For me, it served as a practical faith moment; I learned again that God honors your faith in Him and I was really glad about this.

Moments later, mummy divided the foodstuff into two, she kept one and reserved the other for a friend, in her words, ‘there’s a friend of mine who is in need’; she visited the woman with the reserved half, still positing that the Lord will supply her needs.

I knew that it was good but I felt she hadn’t enough to give. When I was about to leave her place, she brought the money she had received and said that we would have to divide it, that I would not leave without receiving something from her. I learned some lesson thenceforth, that you need not have a lot to give, a talent is enough, and one with God matters a lot. I left wondering how she would cope in the coming days. She called me the day after, telling me how the Lord had provided some amount of money for her and how he had been taking care of her.

She is still doing fine in the Lord today and still depending upon Him to meet her many needs, she is a seasoned minister of the gospel, and authors the devotional, LOVING HIM DAILY. She is Mummy Gladys Abeke Adeleke.
