The name Joseph means addition.

He was the breakthrough child of his mother and 'son of my old age' according to his father. His mother died while he was a child; His father grew so fond of him and helplessly loved him more than the other children, gifting him special clothes and the likes to the chagrin of his brothers. The siblings resented him a lot and under satanic influence tried to kill him, however, due to providence, they would only sell him off as a slave and orchestrated a well-rehearsed plot of death to the man that loved this beloved son.

Many years after, he had become the second most powerful man in a strange land being in control of international food supplies. His brothers would eventually meet the one they betrayed years ago, such is life. The central theme of Joseph's life was his unwavering commitment to the God of His fathers.

Here are meaningful leads to learn from Joseph

1. Keep your faith alive: Joseph was a man of faith, he believed in the God of his father, he considered sin as great wickedness against God. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Even in s strange land, Joseph was committed to serving his God. Endeavour to keep faith in God alive everywhere and at every time.

2. Have a dream: Joseph was a man of dreams, he always had dreams. He had something new to share every time, had a unique perspective, had a guide, a vision, he knew where things were going. You must never be without dreams; you must be guided by your visions. Your old men will dream dreams and your young men will see visions

3. Believe in the dream: No one will take you seriously until you take yourself seriously; if you do not take your dreams seriously, no one will. No one will believe in you till you begin to believe in yourself. Take yourself seriously and others will. Be sober and vigilant…

4. Share your dream: Don't keep the dream to yourself, share it, some will believe in it, some will despise you because of it, some will ignore it, some will support it and some will gang up against it. No matter what response you get, be committed to your dreams.

5. Your Integrity: Joseph was a man of integrity, he was a pure breed, never intended to cheat anyone, not a deceiver, had pure intentions only.
