WHY GOD??

 

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love Eph 1:4

When I was younger and began attending church, a series of questions about God propped up in my mind; these led me to ask questions like where does God live, what does He do, what does He eat, why do we need to worship Him as we do.

I wondered whether God was one brutal authoritarian that allowed evil to happen, because I observed that people in terrible situations and trying times ask ‘God why’. Furthermore, I thought about the fact that God was someone that was always fighting yet having his way, but sandwiching man in between himself and the devil.

I once heard someone say that he was not interested in God because he wouldn’t like to be dragged into a battle that he knows little or nothing about, perhaps, you share this dissenting mind state. There is a class of people that never care or bother about a defining relationship and submission to Christ.

Many today attend church but there is no church in them, these people just didn’t seem to care and don’t bother themselves about knowing who God really is, all they wanted in the church was to have God meet their needs, many today belong to this class.

These human systems of thoughts and conclusions of God’s personality are all defective, destructive and flawed, do know that our personal opinions do not change God, there’s nothing that we can do to or about reality, just things that we can do to stop us from enjoying divine benefits from the storehouse of grace.

God is a lot, more than you will ever think about or imagine, He is way bigger than your mind will ever conceive or comprehend, that is why Solomon advised that we should not depend on our understanding’ Prov 3:5-6. We love Him because He loved us first I Jn 4:19, we should choose Him, principally because He chose us ‘You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you…Jn 15:16 also soothing is His truism that He has founded us in Him before the foundation of the world…Eph 1:4. Inside every man is a truth faculty that cannot deny God’s reality ‘for he has set reality in our hearts’…Eccl 3:10
